The main rail line linking Carlisle to Newcastle passes through the town centre in Haltwhistle. The Manor House Inn is very conveniently located near to the train station. The Manor House Inn is conveniently located within 5 minutes walking distance of the train station.
There is a regular bus service to the nearby cities of Carlisle and Newcastle upon Tyne. Also there is a Hadrian's Wall tour bus - the AD 122, which covers all the Hadrian's Wall stops like Vindolanda, Housesteads and Chesters. You can buy a day or week pass to see all of the close by forts and sections of Hadrian's Wall. All buses can be caught at the bus stop directly opposite the pub.
